Scott Cyr, Accounting Manager

Scott was born and raised in Alberta and went on to complete a Bachelor of Management degree in 1999 with a double major in accounting and finance. Upon completion of the degree he articled with a Slave Lake Certified General Accountant (CGA) firm and during that time was made a Senior Accountant for the firm.
In 2004, Scott attained his Registered Public Accountant (RPA) and in 2005 started a practice in Cold Lake, Alberta. In the following years, the firm grew from being one of the smallest firms within the City of Cold Lake to one of the larger firms within the Lakeland region. It is our privilege to serve the region and have continued to grow as result.

On May 5, 2015, Scott took some time away from accounting and was elected as Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Bonnyville – Cold Lake. At the end of his first term in office, Scott decided to step back from politics and rejoin the Benjamin Dyck, CPA team as the Accounting Manager. His responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations, corporate financial statement and tax return preparation, audit department, and offering tax advice.
He is looking forward to finding solutions to simple and complex issues to reduce the tax burdens of our clients. When you sit with Scott you find that he is easy to talk to and more than willing to work through any tax concerns that you may have.
